Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Students participated in a fun pumpkin decorating contest in October! Here are our winners!

Spooky Nights: Individual
After learning all about Van Gogh and his style of art, students were excited to create a different kind of Starry Night, the Spooky Night!

Musical Backdrops
5th Graders worked in groups to paint (3) 8ft x 6ft backdrops for the musical this year! I drew out the backdrops and they went straight to work painting! Avery S was a fantastic leader on the Santa Toy Shop backdrop and did a brilliant job making things look realistic in the painting!

4th Grade Winter Wonderland
4th Grade students used oil pastels to create a large Winter Wonderland Mural for in front of the office

1st & 2nd Grade Value Snowmen
1st & 2nd Grade worked on these lovely snowmen for 3 weeks. They used value, foreground, background, and contrast to create a snowman with a Christmas tree.

Winter Fox Scene 3rd & 4th Grades
Students used Winslow Homer's techniques of value and contrast to complete a 3-day Winter Fox Scene.

February Valentine Fun
Students in upper elementary used value to create hearts to add to the bulletin board. "Rollin' in Kindness". Students also used watercolor and crayon to create beautiful Valentine Day Pets in the lower elementary. Students also used artist, Jim Dine's technique to create beautifully painted masterpiece hearts. Students in upper elementary used lines, shapes, color, patterns, overlapping, and more to create wonderful creations. Mr. Trujillo's class is working on realistic Chocolate Candy Boxes using oil pastels.
