Meet the Teacher: Mrs. Broccard
Hi! I am Nicole Broccard and I am so excited to spend my 2nd year here at Sequoyah Elementary School! I am so excited to learn and explore the world of art with your child this year! I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where my mother ran a home child-care. I then moved to Missouri in 2007 where I graduated from Farmington Senior High School. After High School, I attended Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Missouri where I gained my Associate's degree. I then attended Missouri Southern State University where I attended many Educational courses and obtained my Bachelor's degree. I then moved to Oklahoma in 2018 where I began working as a private childcare teacher, teaching Pre-K. I began teaching in the public school setting in 2019 at Tulsa Public Schools as a 1st grade teacher. My second year as a 1st grade teacher in Tulsa I was named STEM Lead and Grade Team Lead as well. I then moved closer to home and began to teach 4th grade at Claremont Elementary in Claremore, Oklahoma. Last year I found my dream career as I began teaching the thing I love most at the best school there is. I have a 3rd grade daughter named Marley who loves to play softball and can light up a room with her smile. I have a fourth grade son who loves to play football, soccer, and basketball, but also has a heart of gold, Lakin. I also have an avid wrestler who is going into 8th grade, named Ryan who is determined and sets his mind to the things he wants to accomplish and pushes hard to do so. My hobbies include coaching my daughters softball team, watching my son's wrestling events, and attending my son's football games. In my free time I also love to create art in any form! Teaching art is truly my dream job and I am so happy to be at the best school there is!
